Things You Didn't Know About Me (Your Local South Jersey Realtor!)

Hi everyone, I'm Rachel Romano. If we have only met at a closing table, an open house, or during a quick phone call, you might just know me as your local South Jersey real estate agent. I often joke with my friends and family that I am not really that exciting. However, when I take a step back and look at my journey to getting where I am today, I realize that my path has actually been wonderfully full and rewarding.

Since it is always nice to put a personal story behind the professional headshot and the "sold" signs, I thought today was the perfect time for a bit of a reintroduction.

From Brooklyn to Voorhees

Let's start from the very beginning. I am originally a native of Brooklyn, New York. While the city will always hold a piece of my heart, I traded the urban hustle for the beautiful suburbs a long time ago. I have proudly called Voorhees, New Jersey my home for over 20 years.

In fact, as I celebrate over 25 years of loving this area, I can confidently say that South Jersey is truly where I have built my life, established my businesses, and where I so happily call home today.

A Deep Dive into Real Estate

Real estate has been my absolute passion for over 20 years. I first got my start in the mortgage industry way back in 1996. Spending those early years on the lending side gave me a deep, technical understanding of the financial side of every single transaction.

In 2011, I took all of that financial expertise and transitioned into being a full-time realtor. Today, I am honored to serve the South Jersey community as a premier agent with REAL, specifically focusing on Cherry Hill, Marlton, and Voorhees. My signature style is a firm promise to provide a high-quality, stress-free process where my client's needs are always the top priority. I truly believe that finding a home should be just as exciting as move-in day itself.

My Entrepreneurial Side & Animal Love

In addition to my real estate career, I am also a long-time local entrepreneur. I have proudly owned and operated K9 to Five Pet Sitting since 2008. Running a local service business for nearly two decades has been my absolute greatest lesson in grit and building lasting client trust.

It probably goes without saying, but I am a massive animal lover, as well as an active volunteer and supporter of local animal causes. Because of my deep love for pets, I am never just looking for a house for my clients. I am looking for the right community and the absolute best park for their pets to enjoy.

A Few Unexpected Hats

I bring that exact same entrepreneurial spirit to my real estate practice. Beyond real estate and pet sitting, I am also a commissioned Notary Public and a Certified Personal Trainer.

These credentials reflect my ongoing commitment to precision, personal discipline, and ultimately helping other people achieve their goals. My background in fitness and as a notary speaks directly to my disciplined work ethic and my unwavering commitment to getting every single detail right for the people I work with. Life Outside of Work

When I am not busy negotiating a closing for my clients or working on a new personal fitness goal, I am usually out enjoying the beautiful local parks with my husband and our dog, Tucker. Tucker is my well-known sidekick , and you will very often find me at a local park playing fetch with him, fully enjoying the very same neighborhoods I help my clients call home. We love going on walks together and just soaking in the community atmosphere.
